On June 1st, we welcome tick expert, Dr. Ashley Kennedy onto the #BugScope!

Ashley Kennedy is the Tick Biologist for the state of Delaware. She runs a tick surveillance program, collecting ticks all over the state by different methods (active and passive). She has a PhD and MS in entomology from the University of Delaware and is a board-certified medical entomologist. She completed a postdoctoral appointment at the US Army Public Health Center Tick-borne Disease Laboratory. She has been interested in ticks since she was a toddler (first diagnosed with Lyme disease at age 3)!
