I’m excited to welcome Dr. Miles Zhang onto the Bugscope to open the big world of tiny wasps up to us! The title says it all.
My name is Miles Zhang, and I am a postdoc at the USDA/Smithsonian working with the phylogenomics of parasitoid wasps. I spend a lot of time thinking about how wasps are related to each other, and how to tell them apart. This involves an interesting blend of state-of-the-art molecular and computational techniques with museum research and natural history, which I really enjoy. I also like to do macrophotography and make memes about entomology, both are more creative outlets to express my bug nerdiness.
