On Thursday, April 22nd (Earth Day!) we welcome Autumn Angelus to the Bugscope to chat with us about everybody’s favorite insect: mosquitoes!
What? They are not your favorite insect? Well I bet that after this broadcast you will come out with a new perspective on mosquitoes. There is a whole hidden world of mosquitoes to discover and Autumn is going to be our guide.
About Autumn: I graduated with my BS in Biological Sciences from Rowan University in 2008 & I am currently attending University of Florida (online) for my Masters degree in Entomology with a certificate in Medical and Veterinary Entomology. I am a Mosquito Control Entomologist in Southern NJ. I am responsible for the surveillance of mosquitoes in relation to both population levels and disease transmission. I also do some moderate tick surveillance (presence/ absence only). I live with my wonderful husband and 2 kids (ages 16 and 12) as well as our dog, 3 cats and a rabbit.
